Today besides the usual #timpani, I also played some #bassdrum. I'm the one making loud deep growls at the back of the #orchestra :P (Sometime my stomach chimes in too)
@SlowRain I have not tried, but I can probably pick it up fairly quickly. My bf (also a drummer) and I tried out Taiko drumming when in Japan, and even though it was an introductory session, the instructor was able to teach us some advanced styles and rhythms because of our background.

We had 3 of those drummers at our year-end banquet this year. Very well done and very intense.

There are some (usually with either the church or university) but I'm busy this weekend with orchestra anyway. We're recording for a documentary about the philharmonic. But I might meet a friend to enjoy some homemade Chinese food :)
